Oregon sunstone, aka heliolite, are mined in Oregon as the name mentions. There are sunstone gemstones are also found in Siberia and Norway. Sunstone belongs to the feldspar group which includes amazonite and moonstone. Sunstone beads have a sparkly glitter that is almost metallic, and it is called aventurescense which is caused by reflective inclusions. The inclusions can be copper, hematite, or other minerals. But please be aware that not all sunstones contain that aventurescense.
Known as a stone of joy, Oregon sunstone is thought to inspire good nature and a pleasure of life. Because these sunstone gemstones have a rich earthy reddish orange tones, they will work with most metals-gold, silver, copper, rose gold, or any other metals. They also work well with citrine, carnelian, lemon quartz or ruby reds. The possibilities are endless.
